This columnar, yellow alpine plant is probably a Lycopodium, a genus of clubmoss (in the class Lycopodiopsida). Photographed near Jancarurish Lake in Alpamayo Valley on day 7 of 10 days trekking around Alpamayo, in Huascaran National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Cordillera Blanca, Andes Mountains, Peru, South America.
