Wastwater lake in Wasdale valley, in the heart of Lake District National Park, Cumbria, England, United Kingdom, Europe. Wastwater is England's cleanest and deepest lake (72 meters deep). England Coast to Coast hike day 2 of 14: from Eskdale in Cumbria county, we walked to Boot for lunch at a local pub and a visit to a working medieval corn mill. We then climbed to Burnmoor Tarn, and descended to Wasdale Head. Via minibus we returned to Irton Hall for night 2 of 2.
