Sunrise on the east face of Annapurna South (23,684 feet / 7219 meters), in Nepal. Annapurna South (also known as Annapurna Dakshin, or Moditse) was first climbed in 1964 by a Japanese expedition, via the North Ridge. On the far right, further away, is the impressive mountain face of Fang (or Baraha Shikhar 25,088 feet / 7647 meters), with foreground silhouettes of trekkers, in the Annapurna Range of Nepal.
