Bridgeton Mill was established 1823, rebuilt 1870, and is the oldest continuously operating mill west of the Allegheny Mountains. The mill grinds wheat into flour and corn into meal with 200 year-old French Buhr stones. The red-painted Bridgeton Covered Bridge (245 feet long) was rebuilt in historically accurate Burr Arch style in 2006 over Big Raccoon Creek (replacing 1868 bridge burnt by arson in 2005).
