Lycian tombs (or necropoli) from about 400 BCE can be seen by boat on the Dalyan Çay? River, above the ancient harbor city of Caunos, on the Turquoise Coast, near the town of Koycegiz, in southwest Turkey. Dalyan means "fishing weir" in Turkish. The Dalyan Delta, with a long, golden sandy beach at its mouth, is a nature conservation area and a refuge for sea turtles (Caretta caretta) and blue crabs.
