Trekkers cross the outlet stream of Lake Carhuacocha (13,600 feet) in the Cordillera Huayhuash, Andes Mountains, Peru, South America. On the left, Yerupaja Grande (east face, 6635 m or 21,770 ft) is the second-highest peak in Peru, highest in Cordillera Huayhuash, and highest point in the Amazon River watershed.
