Take Interstate 90 Exit #52 westbound or Exit #53 eastbound and follow signs to Alpental Road ski area parking lot and trailhead. To avoid crowds at this popular trail, start early and avoid sunny weekends. The trail down from the saddle viewpoint to Snow Lake is often snow covered through July 4.
