The Darran Mountains rise up to 2200 meters (8000 feet) above trampers on the Hollyford Track, in Fiordland National Park, Southland region, South Island of New Zealand. We enjoyed an easy 3-day version of the Hollyford Track: Day 1: fly from Milford Sound to Martins Bay, walk to its oceanfront Hut, and see New Zealand fur seals. Day 2: jetboat on Lake McKerrow to Pyke River Confluence, hike to Hidden Falls Hut for overnight lodging. Day 3: tramp out to Hollyford Road end to our prearranged car shuttle. In 1990, UNESCO honored Te Wahipounamu - South West New Zealand as a World Heritage Area. This image was stitched from multiple overlapping photos.
