Adlerplatz is the heart of Appenzell village, in Switzerland, Europe. Appenzell's Roman Catholic St. Maurice (or Mauritius) parish church was built 1560–84. Metzibrücke bridge crosses Sitter river. Yellow shutters mark Hotel Cafe Adler. Most of the notable buildings in Appenzell were built in the 1500s.
