Preserved 17th century town of Guarda, Engadine, Switzerland.

The 1893 Hotel Meisser and Restorant and other architecture are well preserved in the 17th century town of Guarda, in Graubünden canton, Switzerland, the Alps, Europe. Guarda is one of the best preserved and characteristic villages of the Lower Engadine. The Swiss valley of Engadine translates as the “garden of the En (or Inn) River” (Engadin in German, Engiadina in Romansh, Engadina in Italian). Walk the cobblestone streets for some Old World charm.
