Schmadribachfall waterfall & Grosshorn, Upper Lauterbrunnen Valley, Switzerland.

Schmadribachfall (waterfall) plunges 300 meters (1000 feet) from the lip of a hanging valley in Upper Lauterbrunnen Valley. While Schmadribachfall has been captured on canvas by noted landscape painters since the 1820s, its remote location means that more people have seen the paintings than have actually seen the falls. Directly above it to the south, the Grosshorn rises to 3754 m elevation (12,316 ft). See this view along the trail to Berghotel Obersteinberg, in the canton of Bern, Switzerland, Europe. Obersteinberg is a 2-hour walk from Stechelberg, or 4 hours from Mürren, in one of the world's most spectacular glaciated valleys. The Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch region is honored as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This image was stitched from multiple overlapping photos.
