In 1905 and 1936, a large landslide broke from Ramnefjell mountain into Lovatnet Lake, creating a big seiche wave which destroyed the two villages of Bodal and Nesdal, killing 135 people. These were two of Norway's worst natural disasters. The lake Lovatnet, near Loen in Stryn municipality, in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway, is fed by Jostedalsbreen and Tindefjellbreen glaciers.
