Iris missouriensis (or Iris montana) is commonly called western blue flag, Rocky Mountain iris, or Missouri flag. It is a hardy flowering rhizomatous species of the genus Iris, in the family Iridaceae. This Iris is native to western North America, growing widely in marshes and wet soils, from sea-level coastal hills to high-elevation mountains and alpine meadows.
