Tararua Wind Farm is the largest wind power installation in the Southern Hemisphere. It is located 10 kilometres northeast of the city of Palmerston North, on a 5 kilometre long ridge in the Tararua Ranges, on the North Island of New Zealand. Humans have migrated to the ends of the earth to cut farms from virgin forests and compete for new resources, such as here in the South Pacific.
