Wastwater lake in Wasdale valley, Lake District National Park, Cumbria, England, United Kingdom, Europe. Wastwater is England's cleanest and deepest lake (72 meters deep). England Coast to Coast hike day 2 of 14: from Eskdale in Cumbria county, we walked to Boot for lunch at a local pub and a visit to a working medieval corn mill. We then climbed to Burnmoor Tarn, and descended to Wasdale Head. Via minibus we returned to Irton Hall for night 2 of 2.
