From the ski resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo, ride a cable car lift to the sun deck at Tofana di Mezzo (3244 meters / 10,643 feet, third highest peak in the Dolomites) in Tofane mountain group, in the Dolomiti (a part of the Southern Limestone Alps), in the Province of Belluno, Veneto region, Italy, Europe. This ski resort hosted the 1956 Winter Olympics and motion pictures including: "The Pink Panther" (1963), "For Your Eyes Only" (1981, James Bond stunt sequences); and "Cliffhanger" (1993). Here at the head of Valle del Boite, nearby peaks include Pomagagnon to the north, Cristallo to the northeast, Faloria and Sorapiss to the east, and Becco di Mezzodì, Croda da Lago and Cinque Torri to south.
