An okapi, Yokohama Zoo Zoorasia — one of Japan’s newest (1999), largest, and best kept zoos — Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Honshu island, Japan. The okapi (Okapia johnstoni), also known as the forest giraffe, Congolese giraffe and zebra giraffe, is endemic to the northeast Democratic Republic of the Congo in central Africa. With a population of over three million, Yokohama is Japan's second largest city and capital of Kanagawa Prefecture, on Honshu island. Yokohama is 30 minutes south of Tokyo by train.
