Argyll's Lodging, built 1630 & 1670s. Stirling, Scotland, United Kingdom, Europe.

Argyll's Lodging is a Renaissance-style mansion built about 1630 on Castle Wynd, on the approach to Stirling Castle, in Scotland, United Kingdom, Europe. It was further extended by the Earl of Argyll in the 1670s. During the early 1800s, the the British Army bought and transformed the grand building into a military hospital which served for well over a century, until it became a youth hostel in 1964. In the late 1900s, the National Trust of Scotland turned Argyll's Lodging into a museum with rooms restored to their 1680 state. This image was stitched from several overlapping photos.
