Machhapuchhre (or Machhapuchhare), the Fish Tail Mountain (on the right; 22,943 feet / 6997 meters elevation), is a sacred peak, illegal to climb, in the Annapurna Range of Nepal. This view is from Annapurna South Base Camp (ABC, at 13,550 feet elevation) in the Annapurna Sanctuary. The left peak is Annapurna III (24,786 feet / 7555 meters).
