Iwakuni Castle, seen from Kintaikyo Bridge, Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Honshu island, Japan. Completed in 1673 without using any metal nails, the 5-arch wooden Kintaikyo Bridge for pedestrians was regularly maintained every 20 years, until WWII stopped the upkeep. A 1950 typhoon collapsed it, until rebuilt in 1953. Crowning the hill above it is the 1962 replica of Iwakuni Castle.
