The Maroon Bells are two adjacent peaks of the Elk Mountains: Maroon Peak 14,163 feet on left, seen behind North Maroon Peak 14,019 feet, in Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness of White River National Forest. The mountains are on the border between Pitkin County and Gunnison County, 12 miles southwest of Aspen, in Colorado, USA.
