Pictographs: across the canyon from Lower Calf Creek Falls trail, see three large figures painted with red pigment at the bottom of a smooth wall streaked with desert varnish. (Pictographs are painted images while petroglyphs are carved or pecked into the rock surface.) Typical of Fremont style rock art, these images have trapezoidal shape, depictions of arms and legs, and elaborate head dresses. Their meaning is unknown and subject to speculation.
