Gornergrat Kulm Hotel & restaurant was built from 1897-1907 at 3120 meters elevation, reached from Zermatt via the Gornergrat railway, in the Pennine/Valais Alps, Switzerland, Europe. The two tower domes were added in 1996 to enclose the KOSMA telescope and Gornergrat Infrared Telescope. The Gornergrat rack railway (GGB) takes you to a spectacular ridge (at 3135 m or 10,285 ft) between Gornergletscher and Findelgletscher, with views of more than twenty 4000-meter-high peaks, the highest being Dufourspitze (Monte Rosa massif), Liskamm, Matterhorn, Dom and Weisshorn.
