Western Pasqueflower (Anemone occidentalis, or Pasque Flower) seedheads grow at Whistling Pass, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. This flowering plant is placed by some authorities in the genus Pulsatilla instead of Anemone, both which are in the buttercup family, Ranunculaceae. This is part of the big Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO in 1984.
