A superb starling (Lamprotornis superbus) in Tarangire National Park, Manyara Region, Tanzania, East Africa. Starlings are small to medium-sized passerine birds in the family Sturnidae, common name of Sturnid. The park is famous for its high density of elephants and baobab trees. Tarangire River is the primary source of fresh water for wild animals in the Tarangire Ecosystem during the annual dry season. The country name "Tanzania" was created from Tanganyika and Zanzibar which unified in 1964.
