Kintaikyo Bridge, first built in 1673, rebuilt 1953, Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Honshu island, Japan. Completed in 1673 without using any metal nails, the 5-arch wooden Kintaikyo Bridge for pedestrians was regularly maintained every 20 years, until WWII stopped the upkeep. A 1950 typhoon collapsed it, until rebuilt in 1953.
