Adult Himalayan tahr, female (above) and male (below), scale steep cliffs between Phortse and Pangboche in Sagarmatha National Park, in the Khumbu district of Nepal. The Himalayan tahr is an even-toed ungulate, a near-true goat. Sagarmatha National Park was created in 1976 and honored as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.
