Glacier Peak, located in Glacier Peak Wilderness, is the most isolated of the five major stratovolcanoes (composite volcanoes) of the Cascade Volcanic Arc in Washington. See vistas of the town of Skykomish, Skykomish Valley, and Alpine Lakes, Wild Sky, and Henry M. Jackson Wilderness. Directions: Drive US Highway 2 to near Milepost 52, and turn north onto Forest Service Road 6066. Drive 6.6 miles on a gravel road to the Jennifer Dunn Trailhead.
