Zwölferkofel or Zwölfer or Croda dei Toni rises in the Sexten (Sesto) Dolomites on the border between the provinces of Belluno and South Tyrol (AKA Alto Adige or the Autonomous Province of Bolzano), in Naturpark Drei Zinnen (Parco Naturale Tre Cime), Italy, Europe. A spectacular loop trail goes from Hotel Dolomitenhof in Fiscalina Valley to Zsigmondyhütte (Rifugio Zsigmondy-Comici) and Dreizinnenhütte (Rifugio Locatelli) (11.6 miles, 3880 feet). Placenames in South Tyrol reflect the WWI stalemate between Austria-Hungary and Italy.
