Mount Rainier: Spray Park, Tolmie Peak hikes

White Avalanche Lily in Spray Park, Mount Rainier National Park, Washington, USA.

The White Avalanche Lily is a member of the lily family native to coastal British Columbia and the alpine and subalpine Olympic and Cascade Ranges of the Pacific Northwest of North America. Its flower blooms as snow melts in late spring, in damp subalpine woodlands and alpine meadows, often in extensive patches. In the central Cascades, it often grows mixed with Clintonia uniflora and Trillium ovatum at the lower elevations of its range, and with Anemone occidentalis at higher elevations.
